Connected-detcennocsiD

Connected-detcennocsiD

The gorgeous new water tap
had been so well installed
yet from it no man fetched any water
it was not connected to any water source

The costly new smart phone
had been so well charged
yet with it no man communicated
it had no sim card to tap into any network

The new expensive boiler system
Had been perfectly put in place
Yet the house remained freezing cold
Till when it's connected to a power source

The faithful good news of Jesus
Had been thoroughly told
Yet no one had seen their light for
Non had had the Holy Spirit to open their eyes

I long for the connection of the water tap
I await the activation of the sim card
So eager to see the boiler connected to power
I thirst for the filling of the Holy Spirit

Pain and Suffering!

Pain and Suffering!

That we truly dread times does strike
Life is full of harrowing storms
In case you come across one
Or if one comes across you
I pray that you will be strong enough
To fly, jump, run or walk over it

But if that be not the case
I still will pray that faith and hope
Will help you go through it or even
To patiently coil round it in endurance
To find the waiting delight across
The dreadful pain and suffering

In case the storm is too hard
Not to live you alive and kicking
I still will pray that it will not
Drown you all together
With the hope on the Eternal
Of the promised life after death

Though pain and suffering overwhelm us
We still must hope on to the very end
For there is hope that shines brighter
 Than our mortally best moment
And hope that lasts even longer
Than our humanly worst moment

Heko Our Freedom Fighters! (Kenya at 50)

Heko Our Freedom Fighters! (Kenya at 50)

We honour you our freedom fighters
For into the dark forest you went in courage

Inside the deadly forest you fought in bravely

Yet you never gave up the tormenting challenge

With all your lives you sought victory
A victory not for self but for the entire nation

Heko our freedom fighters as we celebrate Kenya at 50

Away from your comforts was a true sacrifice

Away from your families you paid the price
You won the nation’s freedom back to herself

With your blood and sweat a liberated nation was born
In such great pain you won the prize of freedom

A victory not for self but for the entire nation
Heko our freedom fighters as we celebrate Kenya at 50

Colonialism so harrowing an enemy you fought
In much painful struggle you brought it to an end
You were wounded
 without losing heart
Your blood was shed without killing your passion
Your lives were taken away to purchase the future
A victory not for self but for the entire nation
Heko our freedom fighters as we celebrate Kenya at 50

You never gave up the fight to shape our today
To you our hearts and hats go out in great honour
As we take a sincere bow of appreciation
 to our heroes
The heroes who gave their all for all Kenyans after all
Their fight and struggle we all so humbly cherish
A victory not for self but for the entire nation
Heko our freedom fighters as we celebrate Kenya at 50

Yet before you many of our faces remain ashamed
For the many times we've let you down in our ways
The many times
we have allowed poverty to reign
The many times we have seen others in the tribal eye
The many times greed we have deliberately failed to slay
A victory not for self but for the entire nation
Heko our freedom fighters as we celebrate Kenya at 50

The many times corruption has been free in our house to stay
The many times our resources we have failed to share
Yet in your legacy and baton our assignment is there to stay
The cry for truth, justice and equality lingers so loud on our ears
We cannot faithfully claim to honour our heroes till we pursue
A victory not for self but for the entire nation
Heko our freedom fighters as we celebrate Kenya at 50

The Grace Gem!

The Grace Fountain!

The soul thirsts for freedom
The soul thirsts for true love
The soul thirsts for perfection

The evil worldly offers slavery
The evil wildly offers hatred
The evil weirdly offers blemish

Where are the freedom supplies?
Where is the true love reservoir?
Where is the reality of perfection?

The flesh seeks the worldly slavery
The flesh delights in the wildly hatred
The flesh anchors on the weirdly blemish

The grace heavenly offers freedom
The grace gently offers true love
The grace orthodoxy offers perfection

The soul thirsts for freedom
The soul thirsts for true love
The soul thirsts for perfection

The Price Shines!

The Price Demands!

Price shines on all 3 sides of the coin
For to love is to be vulnerable
To live true too is not without to risk
There is no gain without pain

To seat back to protect your
Heart because times love breaks
It dries up and becomes a deflated
Unlovable n’ unloving shell abhorred

To dig a hole in fear and worry
To protect your life from life risks
The darkness of despair n’ regrets buries
 Your life in unfruitful frustrations

To run away from the beckon
Of the pain path whose ending is gain
Kisses goodbye even fortune n’ luck
Drowning oneself in the pit of utter lack

Price shines on all 3 sides of the coin
For to love is to be vulnerable
To live true too is not without to risk
There is no gain without pain
