Like breathing supply oxygen to the body;

So does prayer enhance the soul,

Prayer;

Like fuel sustains the car’ engine’s operation;

so does prayer maintain the heart's peace,

Prayer;

As the water quenches the body's thirst;

so does prayer soothe the soul's longings,

Prayer;

As the waters of the ocean floats a ship,

So does prayer sustain a believer in their faith,

Prayer;

As a right key guarantees entry into an armory;

so does prayer usher us into God's spiritual blessings,

Prayer;

Like the sun's heat melts ice into water;

so does prayer melt fears and worries into hope,

Prayer,

Like the ocean current determines the sailor’s direction;

so does prayer determine the direction of the spiritual life,

Prayer,

Like blood gives life to the physical body;

so does prayer give life to our spiritual being,

Prayer,

Like a hot fire flame purifies gold;

so does a prayer of repentance purify our hearts,

Prayer,

As the duck's wings draw the ducklings to herself;

so does prayer draw us close to our Lord,

Prayer,

Like the darkness departs in the dawn of light;

so do sorrows flee when the righteous pray,

Prayer,

Like the good diet gives good health to the body;

so does the fervent prayer of a righteous man avail much.
